We are raising a small herd of cows for natural, pasture-raised beef. At this point, we don't have a specific breed. Instead, we have a variety of breeds including Jerseys, a Shorthorn, Swangus (Brown Swiss/Angus), and other crosses. We have mainly purchased young bull calfs, but do have three heifers including a Holstein/Hereford that is raising her Charolais-sired bull calf (calfed 10/06) and a purchased Shorthorn heifer calf.
